Drivers

All transit system drivers are well-qualified and experienced. They are courteous, caring, and have been trained in basic first aid and CPR, in emergency procedures, in vehicle maintenance and defensive driving, in passenger relations...and much more.

The vehicles in the system have an excellent safety record. Before each trip the drivers check to make sure all equipment is in good condition and that safety equipment is in place. The vehicles are clean (thanks to the drivers) and ready for use at all times. They are air conditioned for a cool, comfortable ride and are well-mainained by the county or other vehicle owners.

Substance Abuse Policy...in accordance with FTA regulations, the Outback Express does have a substance abuse policy in place that applies to all safety-sensitive transit system employees.
